Senator Reynolds stated that he will objectively support this. <br /> <br /> Virginia Museum of Natural History <br /> <br />City Council believes it is critical that the Governor's budget recommendation pertaining to <br />the Museum's Proposed building program be protected and supported. It is also important <br />that the Museum have the option to access the construction funds prior to the second year of <br />the biennium budget if necessary. Finally, it is requested that the time frame which has been <br />set forth by the State regarding the Museum's thirty percent operating revenue match be <br />relaxed or eliminated. Senator Reynolds stated-that the support of the public was crucial in <br />Governor Allen's decision to appropriate the $10 million to the Museum's construction project. <br />It will take continued public support to make this a reality. Senator Reynolds said the <br />Museum is a local centerpiece for education and economic development. <br /> <br /> Human Services <br /> <br />I. Joint Social Services Program <br /> <br />City Council requests that legislation be enacted to increase the reimbursement for rental of <br />facilities to house local programs.
