He <br /> <br />then took the opportunity to thank Mr. Benny Summedin, Deputy Administrator of Henry County, for being a <br />good partner on the project, as well as Mr. Mike Amos. Upon motion duly seconded, and by unanimous <br />vote, Council approved appropriation of $8,746.40 from the Unexpended Fund Balance in the Refuse Fund <br />for expenditure in Account 16-950535-7943023--Social Services under Physical Plant Expansion in the <br />Capital Reserve Fund. <br /> <br />Council next considered three items related to the Police Department for simultaneous action. Upon motion <br />duly seconded, and by unanimous vote, Council approved the following: <br /> <br /> Accepted $15,595.78 in Federal Forfeited Asset Funds into Revenue Account 01'000500'2404010- <br />Police Confiscated Assets (Federal) and appropriated them for expenditure in Account 01-310100-5415008-- <br />Federal Asset Forfeitures in the General Fund. <br /> <br />Accepted $325.00 into Revenue Account 01-000500-1899055--Donations/Police Department and <br />appropriated them for expenditure in Account 01-310100-5404000--Mounted Patrol Supplies in the General Fund. <br /> <br /> Accepted $5,000 into Revenue Account 01-000500-2403057--Grant/State for expenditure in Account 01- <br />310100-1700130--Overtime/Grant/DUI in the Police Department's budget in the General Fund. <br /> <br />Council next considered a Finandal Report from Mr. Wade Bartlett, Director of Finance, for the month <br />ending 10/31/97. Mr. Baxtlett commented that all adjustments from the recently completed audit were done, <br />and noted a $33,000 decrease in Sales Tax Revenue. He also noted that there were no large surprises in <br />the figures shown. Councilmember Teague asked about changes in the Street Maintenance Fund, which Mr. <br />Bartlett noted as a booking process of no concern. Councilmember Haskell also asked about adjustments <br />shown in the Street Maintenance Fund, to which Mr. Bartlett replied that all were normal occurrences, and that <br />the General Fund was in good shape and would continue to improve over the next couple of months.
