1.54. <br /> <br />MONDAY, MAY 5, 1997 <br /> <br />governing bodies authorize the administrations to negotiate and execute. <br />a contract with Street Construction, with two contingencies: (1) that <br />the contractor guarantee completion by May 31, with the contractor <br />being responsible for any lost State revenue if work is not completed <br />by that date; and (2) that a performance bond be provided. Should the <br />administrations be unable to successfully negotiate such a contract <br />with Street Construction, Mr. Reeves recommended they be authorized to <br />enter into negotiations with Frith Construction. <br /> <br />The Board of Supervisors then authorized the County Administration to <br />enter into negotiations with Street Construction, and if unsuccessful <br />in that effort, to enter into negotiations with Frith Construction, <br />with the result being the execution of a contract for the project. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council authorized <br />the City Administration to enter into negotiations with Street <br /> <br />Construction, and if unsuccessful in that <br />negotiations with Frith Construction, with <br />execution of a contract for the project. <br /> <br />effort, to enter into <br />the result being the <br /> <br />Mayor Adams then declared the meeting ad3ourned. <br /> <br />an .
