TUESDAY, APRIL 22, 1997 <br /> <br />State Literary Fund loan. It was the consensus of Council that the <br />City Manager proceed with these pro3ects and bring them back for <br />Council's consideration at the appropriate time. <br /> <br />Council then began to go back through the budget, with individual <br />Council members suggesting adjustments as the appropriate pages were <br />reviewed. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council approved a <br />$2,759 reduction in the City Council work session line item, as was <br />proposed in Mr. Reynolds' expenditure reductions. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council approved a <br />$1,876 reduction in the City Manager's travel expense line item, as was <br />proposed in Mr. Reynolds' expenditure reductions. <br /> <br />Regarding the funding of City retirees' health insurance costs, Mayor <br />Adams suggested the retirees be required to contribute from 86 to $8 <br />per month to the cost of health insurance. Council Member Teague <br />suggested the cost of City employees' health insurance be frozen, with <br />any increased premiums being paid by the employees.
