TUESDAY, MARCH 11, 1997 <br /> <br />Police Department's FY 96-97 budget and $15.76 to the Commonwealth <br />Attorney's FY 96-97 budget; and (3) $2,417.04 from the Department of <br />Criminal Justice Services to be appropriated to the Police Department's <br />FY 96-97 budget. <br /> <br />In matters not on the agenda, the following items were discussed: (1) <br />upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council approved a <br />Resolution, to be drafted by the Mayor and Council Member Haskell, in <br />support of an increase in State planning funds for the Interstate 73 <br />project; and (2) Council Member Dallas suggested the City Manager <br />contact the County Administrator to work to improve the appearance of <br />the entrance to the City along Koehler Road. <br /> <br />In accordance with Section 2.1-344 (A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, <br />and as amended) and upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous <br />recorded vote, Council convened into Executive Session for the purpose <br />of consultation with legal counsel, as authorized by Subsection 7. At <br />the conclusion of this Executive Session, each member of Council <br />certified that (1) only public business matters exempt from open <br />meeting requirements were discussed in said Executive Session; and (2) <br />only those business matters identified in the motion convening the <br />Executive Session were heard, discussed or considered during said <br />Session. <br /> <br />Council took no action on the matter discussed in Executive Session. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams then declared the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />
