Conrad <br />Martinsville City Treasurer <br /> <br />Collection of Delinquent Taxes <br /> <br />Delinquent Personal Property taxes have been the focus of collection in the Treasurer' s <br />office for the past few months. Collection has just begun with unpaid Real Estate taxes. <br />The process is basically the same for both except for land sales and DMV withholding of <br />Motor Vehicle Registration. <br /> <br />The Collection Process Includes Notification to the Taxpayer by the following: <br />A. Taxpayer receives notification through the standard state prescribed <br /> delinquent form with amount owed. <br /> <br />Taxpayer receives notice from the Treasurer of Unpaid Taxes with 14 <br />days to respond. <br /> <br />C. Taxpayer receives Final Notice from Treasurer with 14 days to respond. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />Methods Utilized to Collect Delinquent City Accounts: <br />A. Name submitted to Setoff Debt Program. <br /> <br />B.
