General
Sign Regulations Paragraph K. Temporary Display, of the Zoning Ordinance, to allow a
temporary sign to be displayed for sixty continuous days.

Summary: A Planning Commission public hearing was held on July 17, 2008 to
consider changing the temporary sign requirements in the sign ordinance. Currently,
a permit can be issued for a thirty day period every ninety days. The proposed
amendment would allow issuance of the permit for sixty days, and if approved, for
another thirty days by issuance of another permit. The amendment would also permit
the cost of removal of the sign, once the permit has expired, to be recovered from the
responsible business.

Attachments:

Planning Commission letter
Ordinance

Recommendations:

Set a public hearing for September 23, 2008 meeting.
