<br />January 23, 2007 <br /> <br />community; Steve Jones, of 611 Parkview Avenue, asked about a skateboard <br /> <br />park and his support of programs for the kids; Anthony Gallant, of 914 Glade <br /> <br />Street, expressed his concern about the recent tax assessments and John <br /> <br />Carter, of 716 Beechnut Lane, expressed his concern about Council throwing <br /> <br />darts relative to the budget and that they should rescind everything they have <br /> <br />done and let the City Manager do his job. <br /> <br />Before a motion was made on the Consent Agenda, City Attorney Eric <br /> <br />Monday expressed to Council that he had checked with the Hunton and <br /> <br />Williams law firm about any additional reduction in their bill and said there <br /> <br />would be none. Council Member Ferrill indicated he would like a <br /> <br />representative from the firm to come to a Council meeting and Attorney <br /> <br />Monday said they had expressed their willingness to do so and he would <br /> <br />arrange it. Council Member Ferrill indicated that he would approve the <br /> <br />Consent Agenda items with the stipulation that the funds to pay the cable bill <br /> <br />would be transferred to the line item, but that payment would not be made <br /> <br />until after the representative attends a Council meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Lawson moved that the following Consent Agenda be <br /> <br />approved with the stipulation concerning payment of the cable bill; the motion <br /> <br />was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: <br /> <br />Vote 4-0. Yeas (4) - Reynolds, Clark, Ferrill, Lawson. Nays (0) - None. Absent <br />(1) -Anderson. <br />
