18 TUESDAY JANUARY 10, 1956 After receiving a request from tw. B. D. Norman that his property at 1308 Memorial Boulevard South be rezoned to "B-1 Busiress" and, also, a request from Mr. W. S. Donovant that his property at DIO Memorial Boulevard South be likewise rezoned, Council called for a public hearing to be held by the Council at its next regular meeting to be held Janu2ry 24, 1956 on the proposal that not only these two properties be rezoned to "B-1 Businessll but that all of the property along Memorial Boulevard South, more specifically described in the follmving notice of said hearing, be rezoned "B-1 Business": The wes t side of Memorial Boulevard South from the north line of Sunset Drive for a distance of 764 feet north--depth of two hunc~ed feet; and The east side of Memorial Boulevard South from the City's south corporate linits for a distance of 528 feet north--depth of two hundred feet. The following ordinance amending the City's Plumbing Code and the City's ordinance prescribing rules and reGulations for the operation of the electric utility system were adopted, effective immediately: BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Mar t insvi lIe , Virginia, in regular meeting assembled January 10, 1956 that Section 240 (Non-Resident Plumbers) of Article XVI of the Plumbing Code of the City of Mar tins vi lIe adopted June 27, 1950 be amended to read as follovm: Any person applying for a license as a non-resident master plumber of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, shall conform to the regulations as set forth in Article I, Sections 109 and 110 of this Code. An errergency existing, this ordinance shall be in effect from date of its adoption. BE IT ffiDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsvil1e, Virginia, in regular meeting assembled January 10, 1956 that the section or paragraph enti tIed "Snecial Terms and Conditions" of the industrial service tariff of an ar'di~nce adopted January 27, 1953 prescribing rules and regulations for the operation of the City's electric utility system be arr~nded to read as follo"l"Is: This tariff is available to eus tomers having other sources of energy supply but who desire to purchase service from the City. Where such condi tions exist, the monthly billing demand shall not be less than the eustomer's contract capacity. An emergency existing, this ordinance shall be in effect from date of its adoption.
