<br />.---- <br /> <br />.--- <br /> <br />~,. <br />i~ <br />V' <br /> <br />.--- <br /> <br />...... <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />TUESDA Y <br /> <br />DECflIffiER 27.1955. <br /> <br />Old Danville Road from Parkview Avenue to East Church Street should not be <br /> <br />rezoned, Council requested the Planning Commission to re-examine this matter <br /> <br />and submit its recommendations thereon. <br /> <br />In presenting the findings of Mr. stuart Bott, consultant in the field of <br /> <br />industrial planning and development, who recently viewed several local sites <br /> <br />as to their potential for industrial development, City Manager Mathewson <br /> <br />indicated that additional information pertinent to the survey would be <br /> <br />presented at Council's next meeting. <br /> <br />After receiving through City Manager Mathewson the report and recommendations <br /> <br />of a special committee--composed of City officials and personnel--with respect <br /> <br />to a proposed new Police-Fire Headquarters Building, Council instructed City <br /> <br />Attorney Stone to prepare a bond ordinance authorizing the issuance of some <br /> <br />$275,000 in "general obligation" bonds to finance the cost of constructing <br /> <br />and equipping said building. The Council indicated that the question of issuing <br /> <br />these bonds would be placed before the electorate along with the porposed school <br /> <br />bond issue on or before March 15, 1956. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />w. <br /> <br /> <br />Clerk of Council <br />
