<br />3J <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />AUGUST 9, 1955 <br /> <br />Section 8 - Delete last sentence which reads, "All notices required by <br />this inspection shall be in writing on foms to be furnished <br />by the Electrical Inspector" and replace with the following: <br /> <br />"The person, firm en" corporation installing said wiring shall <br />have on the job at the time of impection a qualified or <br />authcrized representative to accept the inspection or make <br />corrections if such are necessary. n <br /> <br />As developed and rec011lnEnded by various County-City agencies and officials involved, <br />including Judge M. H. MacBryde, Jr., Commonwealth's Attormys Claude E. Taylor and <br />A. L. Philpott, Council approved the establishing of a local County-City Juvenile <br /> <br />Probation System in accordance with a report presented by City Manager Mathewson, <br />certain costs of which to be shared by the Commonwealth of Virginia, the County of <br />Henry, and the City of Martimville. For the City's estimated share during the <br /> <br />~O~ <br />~~ <br />i <br /> <br />current fiscal year, Council appropriated from its Gemral FU.ni Emergency Account <br />to a new account entitled "Juvenile Court" the total sum of $1,525.00, allocated as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />Salary of Probation Officer <br />Transportation Expense <br />Office Supplies <br /> <br />$ 1,125.00 <br />300.00 <br />100.00 <br /> <br />$ 1,525.00 <br /> <br />Total: <br /> <br />In cormection with a public hearing comucted by City Manager Mathewson August 4th <br /> <br />on proposed traffic changes, Messrs. J. R. Troxler, S. G. Lawing, L. S. Garrett, <br /> <br />Roy W. Prillaman, F. D. Thornton, and George C. Nease, owners-operators of busimsses <br />in the first block of Fayette Street, (through a letter addressed to City Manager <br />Mathewson) requested the widening of F~tte Street on tile left side from Foley & <br />Wilson Appliance Store to Moss Street. This request was referred by Council to the <br />
