<br />376 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />JULY 26. 1955 <br /> <br />A proposed contract between the City and Mrs. wcille Andes Weaver, by which the City <br />would continue the leasing of Mrs. Weaver's property on East Main Street for the five- <br />year period August 1, 1955 to July 31, 1960 (with first option of renewal) for its <br /> <br />metered parking lot now in operation there. This contract, providing for the same <br /> <br />monthly rental as the contract expiring July 31, 1955, was approved for City Manager <br /> <br />Mathewson's signature, and so approving, Council went on record as expressing that <br />serious consideration should be given by Council to purchase or acquire this property <br />outright dur:ing the term of the lease. <br /> <br />Tentative local Welfare Department budget estimates for the fiscal years ending Jtme 30, <br />1957 and June 30, 1958, prepared for the state Departmmt of Welfare and Institutions, <br /> <br />were approved as follOlrls: <br /> <br />Oi t:v of Martinsville.
