<br />3~ <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />l-1ARCH 22. 1955 <br /> <br />.-- <br /> <br />The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsvi11e, <br /> <br />Virginia, with Mayor R. S. Hodnett presiding, was held in the Council Chamber, <br /> <br />City Hall, on Tuesday, }'larch 22, 1955, at 7~30 P.l1., with the folloIDng members <br /> <br />present: Mayor and Councilman R. S. Hodnett; and Councilmen C. P. Craig, <br /> <br />B. H. Hill, and W. T. Turner. COl~cilman J. R. Walker was absent because of <br /> <br />illness. <br /> <br />/,,,..-- <br /> <br />Minutes of the regular Council meeting held March 8, 1955, were approved as <br /> <br />read. <br /> <br />In connection "lith the proposed new su1:xiivision regulations presented by City <br /> <br />Manager Mathewson to Council on February 8, 1955, on which a public hearing was <br /> <br />~.~ <br />~~ <br />l~ <br /> <br />conducted by Council on V~rch 3, 1955, and in connection with a counter-proposal <br /> <br />subsequently submitted by the Martinsville-Henry County Real Estate Board, City <br /> <br />Manager Mathewson presented the folloIDng memorfu~dum and proposed amendments <br /> <br />to the regulations which Council accepted and incorporated in the draft received <br /> <br />February 8th, placing same on first reading: <br /> <br />(SEE llJSERT) <br />
