<br />,.,- <br /> <br />m~ <br />~~ <br />~~ <br />i <br /> <br />-,-.... <br /> <br />3~ <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />JANUARY 11, 1955 <br /> <br />In and for consideration of the annual payment of $1.00 Council approved for City <br /> <br />Manager Mathewson's signature a Deed of Lease granting permission on a month-to-month <br /> <br />basis to Mr. H. C. Lester to use a small strip of land owned by the City and located <br /> <br />on Memorial Boulevard North between the back edge of a sidewalk and the right-of-way <br /> <br />line of property leased by Mr. Lester, which strip of land is to be used by Mr. Lester <br /> <br />for location of a pump island. <br /> <br />No action was taken by Council with respect to an inquiry of Mr. J. Ford Burgess, who <br /> <br />indicated an interest in purchasing certain property or residue of property owned by <br /> <br />the City adjaeent to Memorial Boulevard, Coun::;i1 expressing the intent to dispose of <br /> <br />no such property pending preparation of a map of this property and pending the <br /> <br />formulating of a definite policy governing disposition of such property. <br /> <br />No action was taken by Council on Mr. J. Ben Davis' request for permission to extend <br /> <br />a six-inch water main outside the City's corporate limits on Memorial Boulevard South, <br /> <br />pending the establishing by Council of a sub-division policy which is now under <br /> <br />consideration. <br /> <br />Council was notified through Governor Stanley's Exe c uti ve Order #66 and Mr. J. H. Wyse, <br /> <br />Civil Defense Coordinator, that a single civil defense council has been designated for <br /> <br />Henry County and the City of NJarti nsville. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />~~\JL.~~~ <br />W.
