<br />~ <br />... <br /> <br />FRIDAY <br /> <br />DECEM~17, 1954 <br /> <br />,..~' <br /> <br />Paragraph 4. <br />(a) A maximmn of 60% of the frontage on each street of a single business <br />establishment may be used for "service drivewaysn provided that not more <br />than four service driveways shall be allowed, on each street, to a single <br />business establishment and provided that no service driveways hall be <br />less than eighteen (18) feet in width except that a single business <br />establishment having less than 50-foot frontage may have a driveway <br />opening of thirty (30) feet in width provided all requirements other than <br />the 60% requirements are met. <br />(b) Where internal movement of vehicles is allovred between service driveways <br />on the same property a protective concrete curb six (6) inches high and <br />six (6) inches wide and extending twelve (12) inches below sidewalk <br />grade shall be constructed along the property line between service drive- <br />ways a minimum of eight (8) feet in length, to within four (4) feet of <br />the nearest edge of each driveway. <br />(c) Exceptions to Paragraph 4 - Article (b) <br />Where driveway entrances are not controlled by the use of curb and gutter, <br />and sidewalks do not exist, Paragraph 4, Article (b) shall not apply. <br />(d) Between all service driveways a space a minimum of eleven (11) feet in <br />length, IIeasured along the property line, shall be required. <br />(e) 1. No service driveway constructed for a lot at an intersection of two <br />streets shall be comtructed nearer the corner of such intersection <br />than three (3) feet from a normal pedestrian crosswalk lane, whether <br />such crosswalk lane shall exist or not. <br />2. No service driveway shall be constructed nearer an adjoining private <br />property line than 5! feet. <br />(f) Where a business or other public building is constructed in an area not <br />having curb and gutter or sidewalk existing at the time of construction, <br />driveway entrances shall be controlled in conformity to the above sections <br />in one of the follOwing ways to be designated by the City: <br />1. by construction of curb and gutter and entrances according to City <br />specifications, line and grades. <br />2. by construction of City approved curbed islands accordiq; to City <br />specifications, line and grades. <br />Paragraph 5. <br />Private Driveways <br />(a) The maximum number of private driveway openings for ore residence shall <br />be two. <br />(b) Joint pr'ivate driveways far use by two adjoining residences shall be <br />allowed provided that no joint driveway s hall exceed the maximum width as <br />specified above and provided iimrther that each of the two property owners <br />shall make application i'or same in writing. <br />Paragraph 6. <br />General Requirements <br />(a) Where curb, gutter and sidewalk exist and a permit is granted for a <br />driveway opening, all curb, gutter and sidewalk shall be removed the i'ull <br />length of such driveway requested, and new radial curb, gutter and <br />entrance ramp shall be poured monolithicly a minimum thickness of six (6) <br />inches from the paverrent edge to the back edge of the sidewalk. <br />(b) All curb and gutter, sidewalk am entrance ramps shall be constructed in <br />accordance with City specificatiom, line and grades. <br />(c) Requirements of this sections shall apply to all new construction or <br />reconstruction of driveways and/or curb and gutter. <br /> <br />~~~ <br />c::'; <br />rr <br />v> <br /> <br />= <br /> <br />,-..- <br />
