This property is currently owned by the Lanier
Farms, Inc., and is zoned for A-I Residential.

~

According to our zoning ordinances, an Electrical Substation cannot be located
in A-I Residential districts unless all of the equipment is located more than
100 feet from any street line. This condition cannot be met at this proposed
location due to the 50-foot street which we proposed to build from Spruce Street
Ext. into the substation proper.

By means of this letter, I would like to request that the necessary steps be
taken to re-zone this property to B-1 Business so that there will be no
question concerning the use of this property by the Electrical Division. I
would appreciate hearing from this as soon as possible so that we might begin
construction before cold \'{eather.

~'"
i~
i

Yours very truly,

Walker H.
