120 THURSDA Y JUNE 25, 1953 A special and duly-called meeting of Martinsville City Council, with Mayor R. S. Hodnett presiding, was held in the City Manager's office, City Hall, on Thursday, June 25, 1953, at 9:00 A.M., with the following members being present: Mayor and Councilman R. S. Hodnett, an~ Councilmen C.. P. Craig, W. T. Turner, and J. R. Walker. Councilman D. H. Goode was absent, being out of the City. The purpose of this special meeting is set forth in the following notice or call: To: Subject: W. H. Yeaman, Clerk of Council Special Council Meeting You are hereby directed. to notify each member of Martinsville City Council of a special meeting of the Council, called pursuant to Section 5(a) of Chapter 2 of the Charter of the City of Martinsville, to be held in the City Manager's office, City Hall, Thursday, June 25, 1953, at 9:00 A.M. for the purposing of considering and/or approving a proposed highvmy by-pass agreement with the Commonwealth of Virginia. Given under our hands this twenty-fourth day of June, 1953, at 2:00 P.M. R. S.
