<br />2 <br /> <br />TUESDA Y <br /> <br />APRIL 28, 1953 <br /> <br />In recognition and appreciation of the splendid work done by the <br /> <br />Citizens' Committee for the Bond Issue prior to the recent special <br /> <br />bond referendum held April 14, 1953, Council adopted an appropriate <br /> <br />resolution commending not only the committee, headed by Dr. J. A. <br /> <br />Shackelford and consisting of 216 local citizens, but also the other <br /> <br />interested citizens.
