Stone to succeed himself <br /> <br />as City Attorney and W. H. Yeaman to succeed himself as Clerk of Council. <br /> <br />A resolution setting forth the regular meeting hours of the Council was <br /> <br />adopted, as follmvs: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in ace or dance with the requirerents of paragraph 5 (a), <br />Chapter Two, of the Charter of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, <br />as approved by the Virginia General Assembly March 14, 1950, the <br />Council of said City of Martinsville on September 3, 1952, at <br />9:00 O'clock A. M. in the Council Chamber, did hold its first and <br />organizational meeting and did assune the duties of office for <br />terlTlS beginning September 1, 1952; and <br /> <br />WBE:s.EAS, it has been the custom and satisfactory pt'ocedure of the <br />immediate past Council to hold its regular meetings each second <br />am fourth Tuesday of each month; now, <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, <br />Virginia, this third day of Septem'uer, 1952, that it shall hold <br />its regular reetings on me second and fourth Tuesdays of each <br />month at 7:30 o'clock P. M., in the Council Chamber, and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be furnished <br />the local radio and pt'ess. <br /> <br />By unanimous consent of the Council, the Council authorized the transacting <br /> <br />of such other bus:i.ress as might properly come before Council at this time; <br /> <br />whereupon, City Manager 1111athewson presented an Audit Report for me fiscal <br /> <br />year ended June 30, 1952, as prepared by the firm of J.
