122 December 12, 2006 City Manager Collins mentioned the paving of the Rails to Trails project, the Wilson Park committees continue to meet and he has received 79 suggestions on ways to cut expenses. He reminded everyone of the Good Neighbor Fund and reminded Council to file their disclosure statements prior to January 15. He and the Mayor attended a meeting in Roscoe Reynolds' office concerning funding for the Social Services building. The Mayor indicated that it will all depend on whether or not the Governor puts funding in his budget, which will be divided among 30 recognized social services agencies across the Commonwealth. Council considered the need to meet in Closed Session. In accordance with Section 2.1-344 (A) of the Code of Virginia (1950, and as amended) and upon motion by Council Member Ferrill, duly seconded, and by unanimous recorded vote, Council convened in Closed Session, for the purpose of discussing the following matters: Appointments to Boards and Commissions as authorized by Subsection 1 and the disposition of real property as authorized by Subsection 3. Council also considered the need to convene as the Martinsville Redevelopment and Housing Authority and the need to meet in Closed Session. In accordance with Section 2.1-344 (A) of the Code of Virginia (1950, and as amended) for the purpose of discussing the following matters: the disposition of real property as authorized by Subsection 3.
