<br />11'7 <br /> <br />December 12, 2006 <br /> <br />A regular monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, <br /> <br />Virginia, was held on December 12, 2006, in Council Chamber, Municipal <br /> <br />Building, beginning at 4:00 P. M., with Mayor Kimble Reynolds, Jr. presiding. <br /> <br />Council Members present included: Kimble Reynolds, Jr., Mayor, James W. <br /> <br />Clark, Vice Mayor and Council Members Mark T. Anderson, J. Ronald Ferrill <br /> <br />and Kathy C. Lawson. <br /> <br />Following the invocation by Mayor Reynolds and Pledge to the American <br /> <br />Flag, he welcomed everyone to the meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Ferrill moved to approve the minutes of the November <br /> <br />28 and December 4 meetings as presented; the motion was duly seconded and <br /> <br />carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5-0. Yeas (5) _ <br /> <br />Reynolds, Clark, Anderson, Ferrill, Lawson. Nays (0) - None. <br /> <br />A video was shown focusing on the nomInees for the 2006 Fourth <br /> <br />Quarter Service Excellence Award-Bobby Phillips (Safety) and Tammy Davis <br /> <br />(Community Development), who was the Quarterly Winner. <br /> <br />The following city employees were recognized for receiving service awards <br /> <br />from October through December: <br /> <br />30 years <br />25 years <br />20 years <br />15 years <br /> <br />Elaine Gordon-Community Development <br />Gary Dove-Police <br />William Stultz-Finance <br />Jerry Boaz-Finance; Mark Gilbert-Police <br />
