3~ TUESDAY OCTOBER 28. 1958 Upon motion, duly seconded and unanimously carried, Council adopted the following ordinance amending the "Dog Impounding Ordinance" enacted December 1, 1957: BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in regular meeting assembled this twenty-eighth day of October, 1958, that the ordinance adopted by Council on November 26, 1957, requiring the vaccination of dogs, the licensing thereof, etc., be and is hereby amended to provide that the next-to-the-last sentence in Section 2-7 thereof shall read as follows: "The certificate must be presented before the license is issued and must certify that the dog has been properly vaccinated within six months". BE IT FURTHER ORDAIJ\1ED that this amendment shall be in effect from this date (of passage). Council, also, upon recommendation of City Manager Hirst, and by a recorded and unanimous vote of those members present, authorized the transfer of the sum or appropriation of $1,200.00 from the General Fundts Emergency Account to the salary appropriation for the Dog Warden to continue the Warden on a full-time basis, both log ~3r: ~;- ,~ t~ in duties and responsibilities and in salary, for the remainder of the current budget year. Upon motion, duly seconded and unanimously carried, Council approved for City Manager Hirstts signature a contract between the City and Lester Brothers, Inc., providing for the development by Lester Brothers, Inc., of certain of their property as a subdivision on Dearborn and Augusta Streets (see Council minutes of August 12, 1958) in accordance with the City's subdivision regulations and the regulations governing the extension of City utilities both inside and outside the corporate limits. Council also approved for City Manager Hirst's signature a contract or supplemental lease agreement between the City and the Martinsville-Henry County Airport Development Corporation ratifying Council's action of October 7, 1958.
