<br />304 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />APRIL 22. 1958 <br /> <br />the Henry County Courthouse property under conditions made a part of the <br /> <br />memorandum of a conference between Henry County and City of Martinsville <br /> <br />officials under date of February 26, 1958. Upon being advised by City <br /> <br />Attorney Stone that the City can not distribute or share any proceeds from <br /> <br />parking meters with any other agency, Council instructed that in acknowledging <br /> <br />receipt of the resolution the Board of Supervisors be informed of the necessary <br /> <br />exception taken to the provision pertaining to shared receipts. <br /> <br />Upon recommendation of a special committee, Council placed on first reading <br /> <br />an ordinance amending the Plumbing Code to incorporate the following recommended <br /> <br />changes: <br /> <br />Existing Section 144 <br /> <br />Vitrified clay pipe and other types of pipe permitted. <br /> <br />All vitrified clay or concrete pipe shall conform to the <br />American Society for Testing Materials "standard <br />specifications for clay sewer or concrete ~ipe" <br />(serial designation C thirteen-thirty-five). Composition <br />pipe such as Bernico, Orangeburg, Transite or equal may <br />be used in lieu of terra cotta and cast iron if approved <br />by the plumbing inspector. <br /> <br />In no case shall any house sewer be covered at the joints <br />until the plumbing inspector inspects these joints to see <br />that they are made according to specifications as detailed <br />herein.
