The motion as voted upon <br /> <br />and the tariff approved, as hereinabove set forth, Drovidec1 for the discontinuance of <br /> <br />the present monthly flat-rate sewer service charge and the imposing of a new sewer <br /> <br />service charge in an amount equal to 50% of each water customer's monthly water bill <br /> <br />applicable to those custo:r::.ers not presentl~'l connected to the City's sewerage system, <br /> <br />excDJding (or providing for no sewer service charge against) City water customers <br /> <br />outside the City's corporate lii'nits, and providing further a sewer service charge in <br /> <br />an amount equal to approxirntely 70J; of each customer's monthly water bill on all water <br /> <br />customers COTh"'1ected to the City's sewerage system. Council sDecified that this new <br /> <br />sewer service charge shall be imposed and reflected on utility bills issued on June <br /> <br />1, 1958 and thereafter. <br /> <br />E~~ <br />,~ .~ <br />gE <br /> <br />! <br /> <br />Noting the presence of visitors, Council agreed to heal' any who had other matters to <br /> <br />discuss with the Council. One such visitor was a resident of the Forest street area <br /> <br />who complained of what he termed as excessive smoke and soot in that area.
