<br />~86 <br /> <br />TUESDA Y <br /> <br />MARCH 25. 1958 <br /> <br />or renewal thereof is issued and a ten-year period has not elapsed <br />since the first conviction, such certificate or renewal shall be <br />invalid and the person to whom it was issued shall innnediately <br />surrender such certificate to the chief of police. <br /> <br />An emergency existing, this ordinance and these amendments shall be in <br />force from date of passage. <br /> <br />City Manager Hirst called to Council's attention that the Appalachian Electric <br /> <br />Power Company has among its authorized electric (rate) schedules a tariff <br /> <br />entitled "Connnercial-Industrial Power" which, if adopted by the City, might be <br /> <br />of some benefit in local electric ChargES to some seventeen or eighteen customers <br /> <br />now classified by the City as "General Service" or connnercial customers. The <br /> <br />application of such a tariff to these customers, it was pointed out, would involve <br /> <br />some expense to the City as well as some initial expense to the customers and, <br /> <br /> <br />also, would reduce the City's present electric revenue a maximum of $13,000 <br /> <br />annually.
