Brown, Jr., President and on behalf or Lanier Farm, Inc., <br /> <br />presented the rollowing request for permission to extend water lines <br /> <br />outside the corporate limitss <br /> <br />It was request that under the new ordinance for extension <br />of new water lines outside of the corporate limits that <br />you enter into a contract ror water lines on Lakeview <br />Trail, Corn Tassel Trail, Sam Lions Trail and Vallent <br />Lane. This line will be approximately 7,200 feet long <br />and will be looped back to the existing line on Clark <br />Road by way of the Old Danville Road. <br /> <br />I further request that in our negotiations that we <br />leave the installation of the sewer alone until such <br />time the City has installed its trunk lines because we <br />are not positive of the exact location of the trunk lines. <br /> <br />Council agreed to consider the request pending the working out of necessary <br />details in compliance and to conform to City regulations. <br /> <br />The Martinsville Electoral Board, by letter of January 14, 1958, recommended <br /> <br />the installation and use of automatic voting machines in local voting precinots. <br /> <br />Council took the recommendation under advisement and requested additional <br /> <br />information as to makes and kinds of such machines available as well as to <br /> <br />prices, terms and conditions. <br /> <br />M~or Shultz called Council's attention to certain statutes relating to the <br /> <br />establishing and re-establishing of voting precincts. The Counoil named <br /> <br />counoilmen present (i.e., Messrs.
