This agreement, <br /> <br />which would run from year to year unless otherwise term1na ted by thirty <br /> <br />days' written notice, also would permit Mr. Nease to grade and surface <br /> <br />the right-of-way if done in accordance with City requirements. Ci ty <br /> <br />Manager Hirst recommended approval of the agreement provided it is <br /> <br />revised to include adequate protection to the J. C. Wiggington driveway <br /> <br />from Memorial Boulevard. Council accepted the Manager's recommendation <br /> <br />and approved the agreement as revised, subject to the approval of the <br /> <br />City Attorney. <br /> <br />In considering the rilling of a vacancy on the Planning Commission, Council <br /> <br />authorized Mayor Shultz to make the appointment should the nominee approved <br /> <br />by Council accept, subject to Council's official confirmation at its next <br /> <br />regular meeting. <br /> <br />City Manager Hirst presented additional data pertaining to the recommended <br />construction of a street (previously referred to in Council minutes as <br />"Doyle Street") or East-North Roadway between East Church street (near <br />Hooker Furniture property) and Clearview Drive. Council continued the matter <br /> <br />for further study. <br /> <br />The staff of the State Water Control Board indicated that it will recommend <br /> <br />that the Board postpone the scheduled January 20th public hearing to its <br />March (1958) meeting on the question of issuing directives to the City of <br /> <br />Martinsville in connection with sewage disposal facilities. <br /> <br />City Manager Hirst 8Dllounced the appointment of Mr. Aubrey L. Wells as City <br /> <br />Dog Warden, effective January 27, 1958. <br />
