<br />44 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />NOVEMBER J2, 195J <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in <br />regular meeting assembled this tweli'th dBiV of November, 1957 that the <br />ordimnce establishing rules, regulations, and rate schedules far the <br />operation of the water utility system of the City of Martinsville be and <br />is hereby amended to provide that the rates to be charged water custoners <br />(served by the City water utility system) residing outside the City's <br />corporate limits shall be twice the rates applicable to water custon:ers <br />served within said corporate limits. <br /> <br />'!'his amendment shall take effect January 1, 1958 and shall be applicable <br />to all water bills rendered after January l, 1958. <br /> <br />City Manager Hirst informed Council of certain provisions of a city ordimnce <br /> <br />requiring the COIlIEcting to existing sewer lines where available and, further, <br />that these provisions would be enforced over a period of time by the Health <br /> <br />Department.
