The Public itTorks Director may request of the applicant <br />a plan and profile of the street beyond the point in <br />which utilities will be extended if it is deemed necessary <br />to aSS1.1re proper development in the future of the unopened <br />portion of the street or right-of-way. <br /> <br />SECTION 3 - REC;r lREMENTS <br /> <br />l~. The Applicant shall be required to install or provide, at the <br />sole expense of the applicant, inprovements as hereinafter listed: <br /> <br />1. street or streets in which water end/or sewer lines are <br />to be installed shall be graded for the fUll right-of-way <br />width and in accordance with specifications of the Peblic <br />Harks Department. If it is determined, and so certified <br />in writing by the Dirpctor of Pvblic Works that drainage or <br />hazardous conditions will be caused by grading the full <br />right-of-way width the applicant may be permitt.ed to grade <br />a lesser width of right-of-way; provided, however, if right- <br />of-way is available, ample grading shall be done to provide <br />for two twelve (12) foot traffic lanes and ample width of <br />shoulders to support the travel portion of the street. <br /> <br />~..".."." <br />"ig <br />:;~-~ <br />:,I~ <br />I~ <br /> <br />2. 1;[a ter and/or sewer lines shall be installed in accordance <br />with specifications of the Pl.;blic itlorks Department, inch:ding <br />tees, valves, fire hydrants, manholes, size of pipe, type of <br />materials l.Jsed and methods of installation. The applicant <br />shall be required to extend the water and/or sewer lines to end <br />of the street or portion of street which applicant intends to <br />improve and/or develop. <br /> <br />3. Storm drains, as may be reauired, shall be installed in <br />accordance with specifications of the Public Works Department <br />including size, type of materials l..'sed and method of installation. <br /> <br />4. Base stone having a gradation as required by the Director of <br />Public ~orks shall be placed and compacted on streets in which <br />the utilities are to be extended for a minimum width of t'..rent;:r- <br />four (24) feet and compacted to a depth of three (3) inches. <br />In the event the applicant making the request to install water <br />and/or sewer utilities desires to pave the street at his expense <br />immediately after completion of the installation of the utilities <br />and has conformed to all other requirements as set forth above <br />he may do so provided that the base material shall have a <br />compactec depth of five (5) inches and all paving shall be <br />constructed in accordance with specific,?,tions of the City. <br /> <br />B. The City will not permit any connections to be made to the water and/ <br />or sewer lines, as provided for in this ordinance, until all requirements of this <br />ordinance he.ve been met and fully completed as determined by the Pvblic <br />~'lorks Director. <br />
