C. <br />Plus $100 Utility Tax <br /> <br />$ 92,780.00 <br />61",.5.60.00 <br /> <br />$3,695,940.99 <br /> <br />Expe ndi tures : <br />Original Proposed <br />Less miscellaneous reductions <br /> <br />Plus School Debt Service <br /> <br />$3,555,600.99 <br />14,000.00 <br /> <br />$3,541,600.99 <br /> <br />154,340.00 <br /> <br />$3,695,940.99 <br /> <br />Reserve <br /> <br />City Manager Hirst also recommended a transfer of $2,000.00 from the School Land <br /> <br />'~~ <br />o.'.~' <br />i <br /> <br />Reserve account to the General Fund Emergency Account, pointing out that since the <br /> <br />budget was prepared several items not anticipated demand attention, viz., the <br /> <br />purchase of a car for the Fire Department, the developroont of off-street parking <br /> <br />facilities, and an engineering survey in connection wi th the local gas utility. <br /> <br />Mr. Hirst recoIl1lrended, further, that as soon as Memorial Boulevard North extension <br /> <br />or widening is completed an improvement (a mw eight-inch water line from Mamorial <br /> <br />Boulevard South to South Street) in the water line supplying Askin Street be made <br /> <br />with funds expected to be available, amounting to $1,600.00. Upon motion, Council <br /> <br />accepted all of these recommendations and by a recorded vote, unanimous of council- <br /> <br />men present, adopted the 1957-58 budget as amended and modified as well as the <br /> <br />following appropriation ordinance: <br /> <br />AN CRDINANGE MAKING APPROPRIATIONS OF SUMS OF MONEY FOR ALL NECESSARY <br />EXPENDITURES OF 'IRE CITY OF MARTIN3VILLE, VIRGINIA, FOR ITS FISCAL YEAR <br />ENDING JUNE 30, 1958. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Mart:insville, Virginia, in <br />regular rreeting assembled this twenty-fifth day of Jure, 1957, that the <br />following sums of money be and are hereby appropriated by funds for the <br />fiscal year errling June 30, 1958 from fund sources of estimated revenue <br />as follows: <br /> <br />--"---*.^_.__..----.-_._-._---~..~,._-~-, <br />
