This matter is scheduled for the Council meeting of
June 26th and the following information will be presented for consideration
by the Council as to content. The Council has generally agreed to the
intent of the construction of such a cottage; however, final approval
has been reserved pending satisfaction of the following points:

""'....-..,

--

1. The Volunteer organization in its incorporated status has a
current net worth of approximately $6,000. It is estimated
the cottage will require an expenditure of $4,000; however,
the value of the building will be in excess due to the
contribution of firemen labor and material and the securing
of material at reduced cost.

2. The cottage will be constructed in conformity to the City
Code. Plans have been approved by the Director of Inspections
and are available and on file.

3. Power will be obtained from the Appalachian Electric Power
Company. The firemen will drill a well for their water supply.
It will be the responsibility for the Volunteer Fire organization
to maintain such insurance as they consider necessary on the
building to replace it at fair value.
