processing, preparing or distributing products not raised or produced on the farm, unless such operation is incidental to the usual residential and farm uses. This tariff is available for single-phase service only. ,"There 3-phase power is required and/or meters or heating equipment are used for commercial or industrial purposes, the applicable power tariff will apply to such power service. The standard approved type of electric vmter heater contemplated under Paragraph IIYlater Heater Servicell shall consist of a permanently installed tank of not less than 30 gallons capacity, built to conform with NEMA (National Electrical l1anufacturers Association) standards for construction, insulation, controls, etc., and equipped 1Ni th not more than two thermostatically controlled elements totalling at least 1000 watts. The first element, located at the bottom of the tank, shall not exceed 2000 watts. The second or booster element shall be located approximately one-quarter of the way dOlm the tank from the top, and shall not exceed 3000 watts. "."'- .,-- Domestic Service Individual residences shall be served individually under the domestic service tariff unless the cus tomer requires a 3-phase service or requires service to meters in excess of five (5) H.P. capacity each, in which event the commercial tariff shall apply to that portion of the service or to the entire service, as customer may elect. Customer shall not have the privilege of tal<ing service for two or more separate residences through a single point of delivery under any tariff, irrespective of common mmership of the several residences, except in the case of an apartment house with a mnnber of individual apartments the landlord shall have the choice of providing separate wiring for each apartment so that the City may supply each apartment separately under the domestic tariff or the choice of purchasing the entire service through a single Ireter under the appropriate cornmercial tariff without sub- metering the service to the apartments. The domestic service tariff shall cease to apply to that portion of a residence which becomes regularly used for commercial or manufacturing purposes. Where a portion of a custoroor1s premises becomes regularly used for conunercial or manufacturing purposes, such customers shall have the privilege of separating the wiring so that the residential portion of the premises is served through a separate lucter under the domestic service tariff and the cornmercial or manu- facturing portion of the premises is served through a separate meter or meters under the appropriate commercial or industrial tariff. In the event the customer does not exercise the privilege of separating the wiring, the appropriate commercial tariff shall apply to all service supplied but the bill rendered under such tariff shall in no event be for a less amount than the bill would be under the domestic service tariff. Detached buildings or buildings actually appurtenant to the residence, such as a garage or barn, etc., may be served by an extension of the customer's residence vriring through the residence meter.
