<br />~86 <br /> <br />TUES DAY <br /> <br />NOVEMBER 14, 1961 <br /> <br />had permission to use for its purposes a right-of-way strip on the north side <br /> <br />of Memorial Boulevard North, near its intersection with Fayette Street, between <br /> <br />Cities Service property and said Memorial Boulevard. Council was advised that <br /> <br />a portion of this right-or-way strip is now required to permit construction of <br /> <br />a right-turn lane into a shopping center being developed by Nease, Wheeler & <br /> <br />Blackard off Memorial Boulevard North, the developers agreeing to assume the <br /> <br />cost of removing and reloc ating curb and sidewalk along this right-of-way. <br /> <br />Vice-Mayor Renick suggested that the proposed right-turn lane be extended along <br /> <br />the entire frontage of the shopping center development to provide a lane for <br /> <br />merging traffic out of the shopping center. <br /> <br />Council was adjourred. <br /> <br /> <br />01 . ~--..- <br /> <br />Clerk of Council <br />
