Council <br /> <br />continued this matter for further consideration. <br /> <br />Council accepted with appreciation a deed from l1r. & l1rs. Theodore Berlin and <br />Mr. & Mrs. A. D. Hemmerdinger by which is conveyed to the City, in memoI"'J of <br />Mrs. Jeanette D. Berlin, their mother, a triangular tract of land--consisting of <br />251 square feet--at the intersection of Askin and Union Streets, by which marked <br />improvements might be made at this intersection. <br /> <br />Mayor 'Wilson relayed to Council a suggestion received from a local citizen that <br /> <br /> <br />an appeal be made through the local news agencies for a continued orderly conduct <br /> <br /> <br />during the forthcoming Halloween celebration. Council concurred in this suggestion <br /> <br /> <br />and commended the Police U9partment for its surveillance and control during the past <br /> <br /> <br />several HaLloween celebrations. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilson relayed to Council suggestions and recommendations made during an <br /> <br /> <br />October 24th conference with representatives of a bond brokerage firm, in connection <br /> <br /> <br />with the C~ty's contemplated offering of Sewer Revenue Bonds for sale to finance a <br /> <br /> <br />portion of the City's sewerage system improvement program. CotIDci1 indicated that <br /> <br /> <br />necessary preparatory steps should be taken as soon as possible in order that the <br /> <br />City might offer these bonds for sale in the early part of January, 1962. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />'f ......-"'- <br /> <br />Council <br />
