<br />~14 <br /> <br />TUESDA Y <br /> <br />MAY 23, 1961 <br /> <br />Acceding to the request of the Henry County Board of Supervisors, Council directed <br /> <br />that parking meters be installed along the west side of Franklin Street, along the <br /> <br />Franklin Street side of the Henry County- Courthouse property. <br /> <br />Council accepted with regrets the resignation of hr. William Z. Ford, effective <br /> <br /> <br />July 1, 1961, as a member of the Planning Commission, Mr. Ford to be changing his <br /> <br />residential status in the very near future. Council also acknowledged with <br /> <br /> <br />appreciation Mr. Ford's expression of continued interest in Ci ty affairs, parti- <br /> <br /> <br />cularly in those involving the Planning Commission and the new zoning code soon <br /> <br /> <br />to be presented to Council. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged receipt of an audit report, as prepared by the State Auditor <br /> <br /> <br />of Public Accounts, of the records and accounts of Judge M. H. MacBryde, Jr., of <br /> <br />the City's Municipal Court and the City's Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts, <br /> <br /> <br />for the fiscal year ended June 30, 1960. <br /> <br />Further, Council acknowledged receipt of the Police Depart:rrent's report of its <br /> <br />acti-vi ties far the month of April, 1961. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />Clerk of Council <br />
