<br />~72 <br /> <br />THURSDAY <br /> <br />FEBEU~ R{ 16 " ~}96l <br /> <br />Any mmer of a motor vehicle, trailer, or semi-tr~iler, for villich a license <br />tax is required under this ordiTh~nce who has not paid the license tax on or <br />before April 15, 1961, or who has operated a motor vehicle, trailer, or <br />3OJni-trailer on the streets and high\lrays of the City of I.1ctrtinsvil1e for a <br />period of thirty (30) days without having Daict the license tax herein levied, <br />or who fails to display the license plate as required herein, shall be <br />subject to a fine of not less than one dollar (~n.OO) nor more than twenty- <br />five dollars (~;25.00), which shall not relieve such ovmer of the duty to pay <br />the license tax. <br /> <br />Any ordinance of the City of Martinsville heretofore passed which is in <br />conflict with this ordinance is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />City Manager Hirst presented a sununary of the local lVelfare Department IS anticipated <br /> <br />assistance requirements for the budget year beginning July 1, 1961, in connection <br /> <br />with the preparation of the Cit:'l'S 1961-62 budget. <br /> <br />Mr. D. B. McCullough, of 712 Parkview Avenue, appeared before Council and requested <br /> <br />the installation of new and additional street lights along unlighted portions of <br /> <br />parkview Avenue. Mr. EcCullough was advised that his request will be considered <br /> <br />in the preparation of the forthcoming 1961-62 City Budget. <br /> <br />Cou:cil was adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Council <br />
