18

TUESDAY

JULY 26. 1960

In accordance therewith, Council authorized Mayor Shultz--subject to Councills

ratification--to appoint the required Board of Viewers, meanwhile indicating

that the Planning Commission should consider the petition.

/'~-

By letter, Mr. L. Henry Wiggins, of 1119 Ranson Road, and Mr. E. N. D. Bratton,

of 1115 Ranson Road, requested that curb-and-gutter be constructed (on the Cityls

shared-cost basis) for some 180 feet along their properties, being on the east

side of Ranson Road. Noting that curb-and-gutter construction has already been

approved for another section of Ranson Road, Council agreed to include this

petition in its consideration of all projects not already approved.

~ petition, Messrs. Council expressed

its feeling that the requested sewer line should be constructed; however, Council

withheld action pending the receipt and opening of bids on August 30, 1960, on

the Chatham Heights and West End sewer line projects.

.-

City Manager Hirst verbally co~~ented and reported on the several following

matters for Council's information:

1. At no cost to the City for right-of-way, all necessary easements

have been secured by the City for the sewer line construction

projects in both the Chatham Heights area and the West End area,

for which invitations for bids will probably be advertised August 7,

"1960 for opening August 30, 1960.
