Penn, on behalf <br /> <br />of Zentmeyer Coal & Oil Company, that this firm be relieved of the sewer service <br /> <br />charges imposed on the City's utility bill rendered }hrch 1, 1960 against the firm. <br /> <br />The basis for }1r. Penn's request ',Jas the claim that, although an unusually large <br />amount of water pass ed through his meter and "lasted tb.crough faulty plumbing, the <br />wasted water did not directly enter the City's sewers. <br /> <br />After reviewing a proposal submitted by the directors of the Hartinsville-Henry <br /> <br />County Airport Development Corporation on }~rch 22, 1960, and, also, a supplementary <br /> <br />report and proposal, Council declined entering into the suggested arrangement iYl <br /> <br />vie'-"l of the limitations that might be placed upon future development of the property <br />no'-"l leased the airport group. Instead, Council directed that the City's hangar <br />roof--damaged by heavy snowfalls during the past winter--be repaired at the City's <br />expense and, ~J a recorded and unanimous vote, appropriated the sum of $2,200.00 <br />from the General Fund's Emergency Account to the Duildings-Grounds account for the <br />estimated cost of this repair. <br /> <br />-,"'-"" <br /> <br />Dl connection with the proposed reconstruction of a portion of Routes 57 and 58, <br /> <br /> <br />Council agreed to the exchange of property '-"lith Lester LUi'TI.ber Company, Inc., for <br /> <br /> <br />right-of-v.ray alignment, the City to execute deed for its property to Lester LllJnber <br /> <br /> <br />Company upon completion of the project. <br /> <br />In response to an inquiry from liJr. W. F. Smith, State High\.Jay De~)artment Urban <br />Engineer, Council advised that it will make necessary funds available, as the City's <br />share, for f~Jr-lane construction of Route 58 East, from Bob Gregory Street to the <br />City's east corporate limits, to enable the State Highway Department to iYlclude this <br />section '-"lith the entire reconstruction of Route 58 East. as presently envisioned by <br /> <br />the High,tlay Department. <br />
