Fire Chief Clay Easterly, in

confirming this condition, informed Council that the Inspection Department has

had this matter before it for nearly a year but has been unable to condemn the

property because of inability to serve legal notice inasmuch as Celia Brown has

been deceased for a number of years and there are no known heirs. At City

Attorney Cubine's suggestion, Council directed that alternative legal steps be

taken to correct or remove this condition, both at this location and at other

locations where similar conditions and circTh~stances exist.

Upon inquiry, Council indicated that the question of rezoning the north side of

East Church Street, between Starling and Oakdale Streets, is still pending,

awaiting a response from the attorney representing the petitioners for

rezoning.

Council was adjourned.

( ........... w' ):,~-~~-:-'-- __~-<-_ {~_...--....~ ........-'..-t. _"______.~

W.
