4{ TUESDAY NOVEMBER 9. 1965 line fifty feet northeast of and parallel thereto remain in its present "R-6 Residential" classification, this being in connection with petition filed with Council under date of October 12, 1965; and (3) to amend Section X of the City's Zoning Code by revising paragraph "bf1 of Subsection 3 (C-1 District) to read "One wall or painted accessory sign denoting the name of the occupant of the premises on ,- each wall in which there is a primary or secondary entrance open to the general public. Such sign shall have a maximum area of 3 square feet for each lineal foot of the shortest building frontage occupied by a single permitted use.f1 .... and by adding a new paragraph, entitled paragraph f1e", to read f1For each premises having accessory vehicular service entrances, one identification wall sign over each . such entrance, having a maximum area of one square foot for each lineal foot of entrance opening. Such sign shall serve only to identify the general purpose of such entrance and shall bear no reference to a specific name or product sold on the premises.1I Also, by report dated November 9, 1965, the Planning Commission unanimously recommended that no amendment be enacted to the City's 'Zoning Code to permit the conduct of the business of IIPalmistry" at 209 Broad Street. In accepting this recommendation, Council denied the petition of Mrs. Ruby Costello, as filed with Council on October 26, 1965. In response to an inquiry of Mr. C. Harry Anglin, Council indicated that it would prepare a final draft of a proposed CATV franchise ordinance within the immediate future, with the intent of advertising same for bids pursuant to prescribed regulations.
