<br />~14 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />JUNE 8. 1965 <br /> <br />City Manager Hirst informed Council that construction of the new sewage <br /> <br />treatment plant is essentially completed, with final inspection scheduled <br /> <br />within a week and with the beginning of a gradual operation scheduled within <br /> <br />three weeks. Mr. Hirst suggested that a dedicatory ceremony might be <br /> <br />conducted sometime in forthcoming September. <br /> <br />In tentatively accepting a recommendation that a recent petition requesting <br /> <br />the rezoning to IIP-2 ProfessionaP of those properties fronting the south <br /> <br />side of Brown Street between Maple and Ellsworth Streets, Council called <br /> <br />for a public hearing on this proposal to be conducted at Council's forth- <br /> <br />coming July 13th meeting. <br /> <br />Similarly, in tentative acceptance of the Planning Commission's recommendation, <br /> <br />Council called for a public hearing to be conducted also at Council's forth- <br /> <br />coming July 13th meeting on a proposal to amend the City's Zoning Code by <br /> <br />reducing the side-yard set-back requirements or dimensions in residential <br /> <br />districts for corner lots of record prior to adoption date of the present <br /> <br />Zoning Code. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged receipt of bids, in summary as follows, for the <br /> <br />constructing of an eight-inch sewer line along Madison Street; a six-inch <br /> <br />sewer line along Westover Lane; a six-inch water line along Madison Street; <br /> <br />and a six-inch water line along Roundabout Road; with Council accepting <br /> <br />the low bid as submitted by Prillaman & Pace: <br /> <br />CONTRACTOR <br />Hackler-Seymour Metal Works, Inc. <br />Laramore Construction <br />Prillaman & Pace, Inc. <br /> <br />TOTAL BID <br />$8,817.00 <br />$8,953.98 <br />$6,245.90 <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />W.
