Juhlin, Manager of Blue Ridge Airways and associated with the

Martinsville-Henry County Airport Development Corporation, inquired of

Council as to the status of the present airport property under lease to the

Airport Development Corporation, and as to anticipated usage of the present

airport property after the new Patrick Henry Airport is completed and put into

operation. Several suggestions were made as to the usage of the present site

but no firm plan, Council indicated, has been developed.

Mr. George W. Lester, Executive Vice-President of Lester Lumber Company, Inc.,

along with Mr. Tilden J. Lester, President and Treasurer, appealed to Council

for refund of sewer service charges assessed against this firm--and subsequently

paid--based on water furnished through a City water meter temporarily installed

on January 8, 1965 (from January 8, 1965 to April 21, 1965) during an emergency

at Lester Lumber Company, when its pumps providing its private source of supply

failed. Lester Lumber Company also appealed for an adjustment of the water

service charge, stating that--according to understanding--water furnished during

..."'_,.._,_,__-...-____.~,__"""...""""""'''''_.,_...c,''"_''''''''~'''"...''''"_'''~.".~''__''".,,__~~','"',n.' .".,.._".",~M',.~~'~'"_""""" -,'
