Council concurred in the Committee1s findings. Mayor Wil:3on reported that a final inspection was made by certain officials on Februffi'y 9th of the new Health Center and that only a few minor items require further attention to permit the use of this building, which Mayor Wilson de:3cri bed as a wonderful asset to the community. With reference to a request submitted November 12, 1963, for the widening of Pine Hall Road, in which interest has recently been re-activated by residents of this street, Public Works Director George W. Brown informed Council that-- with the eooperation of certain property owners in providing additional right-of-vray--the City can schedule this street for widening during this year to the extent of four feet on the northeast side. City Manager Hirst reported that the City Electoral Board has advised, by letter, that it has no objection to the lending of one of the City's voting machines to Martinsville High School for the conduct of a student election, although the Board disclaims any responsibility for the transportation of the voting machine or any damage thereto. -- Mr. C.
