70

TUESDAY JUNE 9. 1964

Aaron's Branch. The petitioner indicated that he would install a culvert for

Aaron's Branch across the property, under approved specifications, and would

connect the culvert to the City's facility at Bridge Street. The petitioner,

further, explained that construction of a business building is planned for the

property at an early date. City Manager Hirst informed Council that the

widening of Bridge Street, as proposed, would fit in with the proposed

Thoroughfare Plan involving Bridge Street and, along with Council, it would

be desirable at this time to widen Bridge Street beyong the Nease property

back to Lavinder 'Street; whereupon Council accepted the offer of Burch-Hodges-

Stone for the dedication of ten feet of right-of-way along the Nease property

upon the conditions outlined hereinabove and, also, directed that the City

attempt to obtain additional right-of-way to permit widening to Lavinder Street

and that this submitted proposal be referred to the Planning Commission for its

consideration and recommendation.

Council was adjourned.

-

). \~'.i "~< .
~ - /
W.
