<br />12 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />FEBRUARY 12, 1963 <br /> <br />In considering further a consolidated capital improvements program, study on which <br /> <br />is in process, Council named Councilmen Burch and stone as a special committee to <br /> <br />negotiate with the ~~erican Legion (Pannill Post) towards the possibility of the <br /> <br />City purchasing the Legion property at 47 West Church Street as a site--with <br /> <br />adjoining City-owned property--for location of municipal facilities. <br /> <br />By letter, Mr. J. English Ford (of Ford and Ford, Attorneys at Law), on behalf <br /> <br />of Mr. Stafford G. Whittle, III, Agent, requested that appropriate action be <br /> <br />taken to rezone from l1A-1 Residential" to "P-1 Professional1' that property <br /> <br />identified as being 412 East Church Street, the intended future use of this <br /> <br />property being for a physician1s office and possibly an ethical apothecary. <br /> <br />Council referred this request to the City Planning Commission for its considera- <br /> <br />tion and recommendation. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />~=~<>-- - <br />W.
