<br />4[ <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />AUGUST 26, 1969 <br /> <br />Council referred to the Planning Commission, for its consideration and recommendation, <br /> <br />an application filed by The Lester Corporation for a special-use permit to allow the <br /> <br />constructing of additional apartments at its apartment site at the intersection of <br /> <br />Corn Tassel Trail and Spruce Street Extended. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged receipt of a report from City Manager Noland, advising that <br /> <br />acquisition of the electric substation site on Aaron Street (authorized by Council <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />on May 13, 1969, from Mr. Earl Greene and others) is in process. <br /> <br />In response to the inquiry and request of the local chapter of the Society for <br /> <br />the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, presented August 12, 1969, Council accepted <br /> <br />the suggestion of City Attorney Cubine--concurred in by City Manager Noland--that <br /> <br />unclaimed dogs impounded by the City's Dog Warden be released to the SPCA, with <br /> <br />waiver of usual charge, all on a "trial basis" to provide experience for Council's <br /> <br />consideration in the event it wishes to amend the City's Dog Ordinance at some <br /> <br />future date. <br /> <br />W. <br /> <br /> <br />.-..-0 <br /> <br />Clerk of Council <br />
