q I)
U;;".

TUESDAY

FEBRUARY 25, 1969

Several reports scheduled to be received from Dr. C. J. Mathes, Director

of the Health Department, were deferred because of Dr. Mathes' inability

to attend the meet ing to present the reports.

Some question having been raised by Police Chief Emory J. Bolejack as

to the scope of present ordinances regulating public dances and/or as

to the possible need for revising or re-writing present ordinances thereon,

Council requested City Attorney Cubine to study these ordinance for

purposes of recommending revisions thereof and/or new replacement

regulations.

Upon being informed that Mr. J. I. Barnes has sold his proposed subdivision

off Spruce Street Extended (outside the City's east corporate limits), for

and to which permission was granted on May 9, 1967 to Mr. Barnes to extend

the City's water mains to serve said proposed subdivision, and upon being

informed that this subdivision has never been developed and said water lines

have never been extended, Council declared the agreement therefor null and

void. Council was also informed that Messrs. R. S. Brown, Jr., Jackson C.

Dodge, and James M. Wilson (of Lanier Farm, Inc.) have acquired this

property and now seek re-approval of the subdivision as well as

permission to extend water mains. Upon motion, Council referred this

matter to the Planning Commission for its consideration and recommendation.

Upon motion, Council adjourned to an executive session, as permitted under

State statutes, to consider an expression of interest--from Mr. Ralph C.

Lester--in purchasing from the City a tract of land in the City's

Industrial Park.

<:!., ~"'j' ~. -.
