BE TUESDAY FEBRUARY 11, 1969 "..-..... compliance date--to accommodate Mr. Epperly's client as well as other like firms with similar circumstances--to such dates in 1969 as existing leases will expire but, in all instances, not later than January 1, 1970. Pursuant to recommendations of a Special Advisory Committee on voting districts realignment (appointed December 10, 1968), Council established ten official voting districts within the City by retaining "as is" six of the eight districts established April 26, 1966 and dividing the other two districts (viz., "3" and "7") into four districts, as follows: Precinct Number Polling Place Description 3 S;3 Fire Station On east and north by N&W railway to Memorial Boulevard; on west by Memorial Boulevard to south corporate limits; and on south by south corporate limits. 7 Clearview School On west by corporate limits; on north by corporate limits to Jones Creek; on south by Jones Creek from north corporate limits to Northside Drive, south of its intersection with Clearview Drive; on east by Northside Drive from point near Clearview Drive to Intersection of Northside Drive and Nyack Road; then west by northern boundaries of precincts #2 and #6. 9 Joseph Martin School On west by N&W railway, from Memorial Boulevard to west corporate limits; on north and east by Memorial Boulevard to south corporate limits; and on south by south corporate limits. 10 M<.lTtinsville Senior High School On south, west and north by Precincts #4, #2, and #7, and on east and north by corporate limi ts. Council acknowledged with appreciation the 1968 annual report of the Martinsville Volunteer Fire Company, congratulating this organization upon its many accomplishments and commending the group for its outstanding services to the City and its citizens.
