..... (.~

J .

TUESDAY

JANUARY 14. 1969

specified water line for the required distance of 300 feet (at an estimated

cost of $3,000.00) to reach a specified point on the property line of the

site in the event engineering studies indicate that such an extension and

line could meet the requirements, should the facility be constructed.

Upon motion, Council authorized the re-leasing from the D. H. Panni 11 Estate

(Heirs) of property known as the Depot Street Parking Lot, for the continued

operation of such property as an off-street metered parking lot (for motor

vehicles), at an annual rental of $3,000.00 and for a five-year term

beginning January 1,1969, the new lease agreement to replace similar agree-

ment which expired December 31, 1968, with execution of said new agreement by

the City being authorized.

Pursuant to request (dated January 7, 1969) of the Henry County Public

Service Authority, Council authorized the entering into a contractual agree-

ment with the Authority whereby the City will receive and treat sewage from

the Villa Heights area of Henry County, subject to certain terms and conditions

previously discussed and made a part of the agreement and subject to the

following tentative proposal offered by the City under date of March 21, 1968

(see Public Works Director George W. Brown1s letter of said date to the

Authority's consulting engineers), with said agreement initially to be

tentative and on a year-to-year basis until, unless terminated, certain

necessary factors are known and a formal contract is developed and approved:

A minimum annual charge of $12,270.00. This amount includes annual,
fiscal cost, etc., based upon estimated present and future flows and
population of the Villa Heights area in relation to the design
capacity of the City's Sewerage System, plus the estimated annual
treatment cost of sewage waste from this area based upon the City's
present treatment cost and present estim~ted flow from the Villa
Heights Area.
