Inasmuch as the Planning Commission <br /> <br />is currently studying this matter, Council deferred action pending a report <br /> <br />of findings by the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Council tentatively set Monday, June 17, 1968, for its annual viewing of <br /> <br />streets for which curb-and-gutter and/or sidewalk construction petitions <br /> <br />have been received. During this tour, Council indicated that it would also <br /> <br />view sub-standard housing structures and unsightly junk yards, meanwhile <br /> <br />requesting a progress report on elimination of sub-standard housing structures <br /> <br />and a report as to existing statutes and procedures applicable to automobile <br /> <br />junk yards and abandoned motor vehicles. <br /> <br />Council was informed that satisfactory progress is being made toward <br /> <br />connecting existing buildings--not heretofore connected--to the City's <br /> <br />sewerage system. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />w. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
